FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Pricing, sending, WhatsApp, voice and Zoom — including the things Optyflo does not do.

Is Optyflo a Zapier alternative?
Partly — it depends what your Zaps do. If they move data between hundreds of niche apps, Zapier's roughly 9,000 connectors beat our six and you should keep it. If they exist to reach people, Optyflo replaces Zapier and the email tool it was handing the send off to.
How many apps can Optyflo connect to?
Six native — Zoom, WhatsApp via the Meta Cloud API, Google Sheets, Gmail, Razorpay and Obligr voice — plus tokenised inbound webhooks, signed outbound webhooks, a REST API and a full OAuth 2.0 server. We publish the real number rather than a marketing one.
Do I send email from my own domain?
Yes, set up before your first send. You add a sending subdomain, Optyflo generates the exact SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX records, then resolves each one and reports pass or fail with the reason — so a typo is caught in the wizard, not in your bounce rate. Amazon SES sits underneath, or you can bring your own SMTP.
Will my emails land in the inbox?
No tool can promise placement, but the things that decide it are instrumented here. New domains ramp over an automatic 21-day warm-up. Bounces and complaints are tracked, one-click List-Unsubscribe is on every send, and sending auto-pauses if the complaint rate crosses 0.3% or the bounce rate crosses 3%.
Can Optyflo really place phone calls?
It places automated outbound calls that play a recording you upload, currently for Indian numbers only. Press-1 routes a keypress into an automatic follow-up on whichever channels you tick — WhatsApp, SMS, an approved WhatsApp template and your own linked number, in any combination, all firing together — and the outcome (answered, busy, no answer, duration, keypress, and what the follow-up sent) is written back to the contact. It is not a dialler or two-way conversation software, and there is no inbound calling.
What does the AI actually do?
It writes campaigns and builds flows, but never publishes on its own. Full HTML emails, subject-line options, Meta-compliant WhatsApp templates and whole flows from a plain-English description — all staged onto the canvas as a reviewable draft with a test send to you. Going live is your explicit action. It runs on OpenAI with per-workspace daily and monthly caps.
How does pricing work?
You are priced on the email volume you send per month — never per seat and never per task or operation. Free is $0 for 100 emails a month and never expires. Creator is $29 a month with 10,000 emails included and $1.60 per additional 1,000. Pro is $79 a month with 50,000 included and $1.20 per additional 1,000. Annual billing saves 17%. WhatsApp messages and voice minutes are metered separately and passed through at provider cost.
Can I buy just one part of it?
Yes. Modules are sold individually: Email $9, Automation $8, Webinars $8, CRM & Inbox $7, WhatsApp $7, Forms $5 and Click-to-tag $3 per month. The full platform works out cheaper once you need four or more of them.
What happens if I want to leave?
Export everything and tell us to stop. You can take a full CSV of your contacts, replies and deals out of settings without asking anyone. Paid plans are provisioned by our team rather than self-serve, so email hello@optyflo.com to change or cancel one and you will hear back within one business day.
Is there an API?
Yes. A REST API for contacts, emails and flow enrolment with scoped tokens and idempotency keys, tokenised inbound webhooks, outbound webhooks signed with HMAC-SHA256 with retry backoff, and a full OAuth 2.0 server. Tokens are created from Developer settings in the app.
Where is my data stored, and who else touches it?
On servers in India. Shared email delivery runs through Amazon SES in the EU (Stockholm) unless you connect your own SMTP or Gmail. Connected-service credentials and WhatsApp sessions are encrypted at rest, and we never sell contact data. The privacy policy lists every subprocessor and what each one receives.
Can I upgrade myself from inside the app?
No — there is no self-serve billing yet. Paid plans are provisioned by our team. Email hello@optyflo.com and we will set it up; we answer within one business day.
How does WhatsApp work?
Through the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API via embedded signup, on your own WhatsApp Business number, so the quality rating stays yours. You can list approved templates and submit new ones inside Optyflo. Replies land in the same unified inbox as your email threads, with a per-number daily warm-up cap and per-contact opt-in tracking.
What does the Zoom integration actually sync?
You create or bind a Zoom meeting from inside Optyflo. Registrants sync every minute, live attendance arrives by webhook, and no-shows are labelled when the session ends. Sendable segments are: never joined, left early, stayed to the end, attended, and all. Note that the sync is one-way — rescheduling inside Optyflo does not push the change back to Zoom.
Do you host a registration page for my webinar?
No. There is no public webinar registration page and no landing-page builder. You can embed an Optyflo form on your own site — inline, modal, slide-in or sticky-bar, with manual, exit-intent, scroll-percentage or time-delay triggers — and registrations flow in from there.
Do you publish customer counts or delivery volumes?
No. We don't have audited figures for them, so we don't quote them. If you see such a number attributed to Optyflo, treat it as unverified.
